Living large at Fat Cat!

Fat Cat Burgers & Bakeshop is a lively new dining and bakery concept conceived by Fran Scibelli, the Charlotte restaurateur behind Metropolitan Bakery and Café and, most recently, Fran’s Filling Station in Dilworth.

Fran is channeling her energy and good vibes into this fun, unpretentious and family-friendly neighborhood eatery and bakery. And you don’t have to look far to find it – it’s in the same spot previously occupied by Fran’s Filling Station.

For this new chapter, Fat Cat is all about living large, having fun and leading the way in a new casual food adventure – which includes a walk-up donut window. While the freshly revamped menu boasts some popular items that Fran’s regulars know and love (we’re talking about her world-famous New South chicken sandwich, one-of-a-kind kale salad and melt-in-your-mouth bacon-wrapped tater tots to start), the new handmade stars on this flavorsome scene are born in the bakery.

This means going back to the basics. Once upon a time, Fran owned a bakery, where Noe was her trusted head baker. Fran and Noe have reunited to bake up some of the best donuts, burger buns, bread and other treats around.

The Fat Cat menu features a handcrafted array of burgers, fried chicken, salads and more. Craft beers are on tap. The donuts change daily at our walk-up donut window. And a kids’ menu includes plenty of old (and new) favorites.

So no matter your tastes, Fat Cat has a little something for everyone. We’re easy to find – just follow the aroma of fresh-baked bread!
